My Halloween Mani's

Sadly, this cell phone pic was the only pic I snapped of my black and orange mani, and I only wore it for two days before it chipped.
On all nails I used Nail Life Gripper Base Coat, and INM Out The Door Fast Dry Top Coat.
On ring and index fingers, I used 1 coat Wet and Wild Mega Shine Black Creme and 2 coats Confetti Taz Manian Devil.
On Thumb, Middle, and Pinky fingers, I used 3 coats of Sinful Colors Cloud Nine. So pretty, but so sheer. VNL even with 3 coats. Then I added 1 coat of Wet and Wild Mega Shine Hallucinate.

Update!

Happy Sundog!
Today I'm volunteering at an event called "Oktober Pets," and there are going to be lots of dogs dressed in costumes- how cute!
Guess what?! My boyfriend found our camera charger yesterday!
...which is a very good thing because I have so many products to review and show you, that I'm going to be blog-overwhelmed for weeks!
Aaaand this girl is going to be the proud owner of a UD Naked Palette this week!
I've been bidding on 8 different palettes on Ebay for the past 6 days.
I don't have a Sephora or ulta near me, and I wanted to see if I could get it cheaper than $48.
Aaaaand I did! The auction ended last night around 1 am and I got a naked palette for $35 with free expedited shipping.
Good things come to those who wait, I suppose!
The only thing, is it doesn't come with a UDPP, but that is more than fine with me, because my $1 ELF eyelid primers and I, have a pretty good somethin' somethin' going on.
I am so excited to be getting highly pigmented, super shimmery neutrals, because the sheer wannabe neutrals I own, are just not cutting it for me.
I could do bright, neon eyes for years with the eyeshadow I have, but my neutrals collection is seriously lacking.
This is my first high end makeup purchase- high end newb here!
It should be here Thursday or Friday! yayyy.

Another thing- I signed up for Influenster.com about a month or two ago, filled out some of their "badges" and I got offered a FREE Cosmo Vox Box to review for October. So that got shipped out on Friday and should be here soon.
I also won a Giveaway, and I'll post all of the info about that when I get the camera battery charged and have some time off of work.

Have a good day, everyone!

P.S. Only 6 more followers until I host my own giveaway!

Jessie's Girl Confetti layered over black

I showed you this manicure in my last post, but it was such an awkward picture, I decided to snap a few new pics today in various lighting.
I have never tried anything from Jessie's Girl before, and I've never even been in my Rite Aid.
I've heard this polish is a dupe for Sally Hansen DVD from the HD line, but half the price. Don't quote me on that though! lol
I used one coat of the amazingly opaque Wet and Wild Mega Shine Black Creme. Then 2 coats of Confetti. My thumb got 3 coats though.
Hopefully you get the point of how seriously gorgeous this purple/blue duochrome really is! And such a steal for $2.99!!

I'm doing this blog post a la mobile phone. :) Lol I'm riding an hour away with my boyfriend and a friend to go look at a motorcycle..I wish we would have left earlier so I could go to the mall, but it's whatevs, 'cause this chica is broke!

So unfortunately, if you're interested in Posh's Pick today, you'll have to Google it to listen. Today's pick: Dear Maria, Count Me In by All Time Low.
I've been listening to this amazing band since 2005. They're my favorite freaking band for a million reasons. If given the chance, I won't shut up about them.
The reason that's today's song, is because the singer wrote it about a girl named Maria that he was friends with, but lost touch with. He ran into her one day and asked her what she'd been up to, and she replied that she's been working as a stripper. He decided to write a song about it! Haha. I recently had the same thing happen to
me- I guess there's strippers in every town, right?
If you Google the song, be sure to check out the music video!

Manicures and Music

I've been wanting to do this for awhile, but always seem to forget.
If I could describe 3 things that I absolutely love, they would be: animals, music, and makeup.

I've been meaning to incorporate my music love into my blog, but it always slips my mind.
I'm not sure how often I'll be doing this, but I would like to do it with every post.
I'm going to feature a song and provide a link- a song that's an old favorite of mine, something I've been loving recently, or something with a strong memory.

First though, two manicures I've done and haven't posted yet.
I had such a hard time capturing this with my cell phone camera! It didn't want to pick up the glitter! I used:
1 coat Nail Life Gripper Base Coat
1 coat OPI Spark De Triomphe
3 coats Confetti Tazmanian Devil
1 coat INM Out The Door Fast Dry Topcoat

I got a lot of compliments on this at work, and outside in the sun, it glowed! The flat hex glitter had such a shiny reflection- it was amazing. However the wear time was awful! I wore it for 3 days, and had to touch it up every day, as I got huge chips in it. I'm thinking next time I try this, I'll use a solid color base coat, and maybe it will stay longer. I wasn't going to get OPI Muppets Collection Rainbow Connection, because I felt Tazmanian Devil was "close enough." But after the awful wear time for this, I think I'm going to get Rainbow Connection anyway.

Hair Extensions!

If you've seen how often my hair style changes, you would know I love hair extensions, and love doing them myself.
So when I got asked if I would feature www.hairextensions.co.uk on my blog, I said heck yes!
Now, I am not getting paid to do so. BUT they have put my blog link on their website!
I have not tried their hair extensions, but they do carry some popular brands, and carry the accessories and tools for hair extensions, as well as good quality human hair.
So if you're ever in the market to buy hair extensions, check out their link, it'll be permanently above my "Blog Roll," which is on the side bar to the right, and it will be visible on all of my posts and my home page.
While based in the UK, they do ship internationally, so don't let that stop you from checking out their page.

I'm most interested in trying their pre bonded curly hair! Could you see me rocking that?!

Peace, love, and hair extensions!

Is it just me or do I look like a different ethnicity today? I think it's a combo of the dark hair and actually using a yellow based foundation that matches my skin tone- there's more to come on my foundation quest. I've had some awful foundation experiences in the past two weeks and I think that I'll never use anything but Color Stay from now on. lol

P.S. Sorry for the cell phone quality picture- camera charger took a vacation.

New things.

So I've wanted to show you guys the new makeup products I've purchased lately, but once again, camera charger is still MIA.
So I'll show what I've taken on my cell phone camera.

I recently opened a new mascara I had in my stash: ELF Studio Mineral Infused Mascara. Maybe it needs some aging time, but I really didn't care for this. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't lengthening enough for me.
So on a budget, I checked out the NYC line at Wal Mart, and picked up NYC Sky Rise Lengthening Mascara in Extreme Black. This retails for $1.72.
Well long story short, it makes my lashes look like false lashes. I love it! Check it out! (Along with my EOTD today! lol)
This is the first time I used it.

Glitter Freaking Tastic- Part Two

I was really loving the 10 different colors on my nails that I did last night, so today I just redid the nails that didn't fit with the holo theme. I tried to to choose colors in a similar family, but it kind of seems like I didn't spread them out well enough.

I used Wet and Wild Fast Dry Blue Wants To Be A Millionaire and Wet and Wild Fast Dry Hannah Pinktana as my holographic top coats, and I abbreviated them as BWTBAM and HP, so it's a lot less to type.
Right Hand
Pinky: 2 Coats Sinful Colors Gorgeous + 1 Coat BWTBAM
Ring: 2 Coats Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear  Mystic Lilac + 1 Coat HP
Middle: 2 Coats Sinful Colors Innocence + 1 Coat BWTBAM
Index: 2 Coats Sinful Colors Nirvana + 1 Coat HP
Thumb: 2 Coats OPI Mermaid's Tears + 1 coat BWTBAM

CVS Nail Polish Haul- Glitter freaking tastic.

I signed up for the CVS Extra Care Beauty Club online last night, and got an email for 10% off your next purchase- (plus for every $50 you spend towards cosmetics, you get $5 back in register rewards.)

So armed with my 10% off and my mind on holographic goodness, I went to CVS after work today in search of Milani 3D Holographic polishes.
It's been at least a year since I went to CVS for cosmetics, so I decided to take my time and look at everything!
Unfortunately I didn't find the holographic goodness of 3D.
But instead I found two holographic Wet and Wild Fast Dry polishes!
I've seen these before but I wasn't aware that they were holographic-
maybe CVS just had awesome lighting?!
So for $1.99, I snagged up both of them- Blue Wants To Be A Millionaire, and Hannah Pinktana.

Thennnn I came across a display of polishes from a brand called, "Confetti."
Holy sparkle and glitter.
They had a dupe for Deborah Lippman's "Happy Birthday", and I'm thinking this is also a dupe for OPI's Rainbow Connection.
Either way, because I didn't pick up Milani Gems, I figured I NEEDED this one, so I didn't have to buy Rainbow Connection when it comes out. And the best part?! $1.99!

Thennn I saw that all Revlon nail polishes were on sale: Buy one at $4.99 and get $3 back in register rewards. OH MAN. So I grabbed "Steel Her Heart" from the new metallics collection.

I've gotten quite a few new followers lately!
I'm up to 40! This makes me so happy! Thank you all for following my blog!
I'm thinking about doing a give away every 50 followers I get, so hope some more people stumble across my blog!

I haven't been able to take good pictures lately because my camera charger is MIA since I moved.
So in the meantime, here's a swatch of LA Colors Color Craze in Magnetic Force. I picked this beauty up at The Dollar Tree for $1, hollahhhh!

I'm loving coral lately, but as the weather starts warming up, I love darker shades.
On my nails right now, I have OPI My Private Jet, a friend of mine was kind enough to send me a few OPI nail polishes- I've never tried OPI before- sounds crazy, huh?!
But I am loving this polish!

I've been so obsessed with nail polish lately, and I feel like this isn't normal! haha.

On another note, I got Skintimate Lotionized Shave Cream for Sensitive Skin last week and I love it!

So in conclusion, thank you to my new followers, I hope you stick around!
I hope my camera charger shows up because I've gotten a lot of new things lately I'd love to share soon!
Love,
Posh

P.S. This time of year is amazing because all of the pumpkin spice flavored items start popping up everywhere! Love it!

P.P.S. I've used up two bottles of Rimmel Clean Finish foundation and still haven't blogged about it! That foundation costs $4 at Wal Mart and comes in a wide range of colors- I LOVE IT! So if you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it! But the colors do apply darker than they appear in the bottle.

Revlon Top Speed Royal Swatch

One coat Nail Life Gripper Base Coat
Two Coats Revlon Top Speed Royal
One Coat Sinful Colors I Love You on ring finger
One Coat INM Out The Door Top Coat

This is a royal blue jelly polish. You could still see through it a little bit on the tips after two coats, but I didn't apply a third because it already looked navy in normal lighting. This was in florescent over head lighting. Unfortunately this does look a little darker on the nails then in the bottle, but I still love the color.

Bright Blue Eye Makeup

I did this a few days ago and am just now getting to post this, so I can't call it a FOTD, but it was a FOTD earlier this week.
Here's what I used:

Eyes:
ELF Essentials Eyelid Primer in Pearl
ELF Essentials Brightening Eye Color in Ocean Dreams
Lightest blue in inner corner of eyes.
Medium teal shade all over eyelid, and used to set liner on lower waterline.
         Darkest Blue in crease
         Purple/blue shade along lower lashline
ELF Studio Single Eyeshadow in Butter Cream as browbone highlight
ELF Studio Cream Eyeliner in Plum Purple on top lashline
ELF Studio Cream Eyerliner in Teal Tease on lower lashline
ELF Studio Waterproof Volumizing and Lengthening Mascara in Black
ELF Essentials Clear Brow and Lash Mascara on Brows

Face:
St. Ives Timeless Skin Moisturizer
Rimmel Clean Finish Foundation in Soft Beige
ELF Complexion Perfection Powder
ELF Studio Blush in Pink Passion (I think? lol)
ELF Essentials All Over Cover Stick in Toffee as face/cheek contour
ELF Studio Golden Bronzer as highlight

I didn't use any lip products until later on in the day, and I think I wore ELF Studio Glossy Gloss in Pink Candy.

Of course my glasses sort of hid the look, but it was still fun!
