My All Time Favorite Lotion

I was using my favorite lotion today, and realized I was running low.
I usually don't use products until they're gone, but this lotion is an exception!

Victoria's Secret Ultra Softening Body Butter in Love Spell

These are from the Secret Garden collection, which has now been changed to "VS Fantasies Collection."  Love Spell is one of my all time favorite scents, I use the body splash and perfume daily.
These are originally $12 (They were $10 under the name Secret Garden though!) But they are on sale right now for 3 for $25 or 5 for $30. You can mix and match and Fantasies set, and any Fantasies product.

I LOVE these sales- I stock up and buy multiples of my favorite Love Spell items.
I bought 2 Body Butters, 2 Perfumes, 2 Lotions, and 2 Body Splashes, and I still haven't finished any of the first items! This body butter lasts me at least 6 months, and I use it often.

The lotion makes my skin so soft! This is the only thing that helps my feet when I get calluses, cracks and/or blisters.  The scent is amazing and lasts for a very long time! My boyfriend loves the scent of this stuff too.
This is great for any time of the year, and is my all time favorite lotion. I have gone through 2 of these already, this is my third one, and I've been using this for about 2 and 1/2 years now.

You can also find these on Ebay, Amazon, etc.
Have you tried any of these VS lotions? I highly recommend them!
Here's a picture of the old packaging (The ones I have).

What's in my Elf Fan of the week grab bag?

My ELF Fan of the Week grab bag came in the mail today. I won it by submitting a make up look I did using mostly ELF products to their Facebook page. To submit your look, email a picture of your look along with a list of the products you used to eyeslipsface@Facebook.com!

In my grab bag was:
-Essentials Brightening Eye Color in Rocker-which was featured in my look.
-Essentials Super Glossy Lip Shine SPF 15 in Party Peach and Watermelon. I own both of these but haven't opened them yet, so now I will.
-Essentials Radiance Blusher in Blushing. I owned this already too. I actually think it's close to the Studio line blush in Fuschia Fusion, but less purple-y.
-Essentials Eyelid Primer in Pearl. I own this too, but haven't opened it yet! So I opened the new one today, and it was so pretty and sparkle-y!
-Essentials Cream Eyeshadow in Berry Mix. This was the only product I didn't already own.
It's really nice to actually win something for once! Especially when I get amazing quality free ELF stuff!
So thank you, Brittany at ELF for choosing my submission! :)
Have you tried any of these products? What do you think?

Super Girly French Manicure

What I used:
1 coat Nail Life Gripper basecoat (Purchased at Sally's Beauty Supply-$5 on sale)
3 coats CQ Seashell (Purchased at Wal Mart- I think this brand got discontinued? Around $2)
1 coat Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Bubble Gum Pink on tips only.
1 coat Wet and Wild Sparked across where the pink starts.
I was in a hurry doing this, so I didn't use a small brush for the glitter, but it would have looked a lot better if I did, but I just used the applicator in the bottle.

My boyfriend said this was way too girly for me and reminded him of Elle Woods! But I kind of liked it! :)

Products I regret buying

These are just a few products I've picked up that I either really don't like, the color is wrong for me, or I just don't ever find myself using these products.

1. Maybelline Falsies Mascara in Black Waterproof
I was really disappointed with this mascara. One of my friends uses it and it's her absolute favorite mascara, but it did not work for me. It made my lashes very, very clumpy. It not only clumped my lashes together, but it clumped from the root to tip of my lashes too. I don't know if this is because I got the waterproof formula or not, but it just didn't work for me. I also found the brush really hard to work with, as it grabbed way too much product. The only way I could use it was if I wiped all of the extra product off of each side of the wand.

2. L'oreal Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara
A friend told me how much they love Loreal Telescopic mascara, and after hearing so many youtube gurus talk about it, I figured I'd give it a try. This was pretty expensive to me- around $12. At first, I really liked it because it was so black and it did lengthen my lashes decently. I liked the small brush at first, because it was really easy to get all of my smaller lower lashes on the bottom, but then the wand bent somehow, and it got harder to use it on my top lids. Every time I tried to use it, it smeared somewhere on accident because I had a hard time working with the bent wand. Also, after using this for a few weeks, the formula completely changed and got clumpy. It wasn't worth the money to me- there are far better lenghtening mascaras that are cheaper.

3. Almay One Coat Dial Up Mascara

I'm assuming a lot of others didn't like this product either, because I picked it up at the Dollar Tree for $1, when it retails for around $8-$9. The tube was a pain, because if I wanted it on one of the dials and tried to remove the brush, it always turned to a different dial, while I was pulling the brush out. I did not see any difference between 1, 2 or 3, and it really didn't do anything for my lashes- didn't volumize, lengthen, or anything other than making them black. It was way too clumpy for me to use too, and the brush was a little odd.

4. L.A. Colors Liquid Makeup
I don't know if they make these anymore, or if they are reformulated,  but I picked this up at the Dollar Tree. The tube is so small! About the size of a small concealer tube. Mine is called BLM311 True Beige. This is so sheer and thin, I have no idea who could use this.

5. Donna Michelle Make Up Foundation in 1 Light
I got this at The Dollar Tree also- It is not a foundation- it's really sheer, more like a tinted moisturizer. I never use this for anything.

6. Maybelline Blush in Gentle Rose and Sweetheart Rose

I couldn't find a picture of these, and mine got all crushed and disgusting. These are both really chalky and way too sheer. If you like sheer matte blush, these may be good for you- but they barely showed up on my skintone. They came in a duo, which I'm not sure they make anymore. I think they make the individual shades still though.

7. L'oreal Touch-On Colour Eyes Lips Cheeks in Shimmering Dunes

I bought this hoping I could use it as a lips, eyes, and cheeks product for a really pretty glow to wear to the beach, but the color is so frosty, I can't wear it for any other those uses. I may try to use it as an eyeshadow base, but it does not work by itself.

8. ELF 2 in 1 Conditioning Gloss in Super Model and Fanatic
Fanatic
   Supermodel

These are both so sticky and tacky feeling, they're really uncomfortable on my lips. They almost feel like glue. They're both really sheer and the tube is very messy.

9. ELF Studio Lip Definer and Shaper
I don't know why I bought this, since I don't use lip liner. The definer side is super frosty and shaper side is way too dark for me. I never use this.

10. ELF Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder in Matte Bronze
I really liked the idea of getting a matte bronzer for contouring, but this is just too dark for me. I may use it as an eyeshadow crease color, but can't use it as a bronzer.

11. Hard Candy Glamoflauge Concealer in Light

I bought this after hearing EmilyNoel83 rave about this on youtube, and hearing so many other people say how much they love it- but it really didn't work for me. I felt like it was too hard to blend in, and it didn't do a good job at covering my acne at all. I think I prefer stick type concealers instead of liquid, but I didn't realize it until I used this for a few months and realized how bad my acne was looking after a few hours. I have a lot of this left, and I don't know if I'll use it. I may try it as an eyeshadow or blush base though.

Have you tried any of these products? What was your experience with them?
Another semi-makeup thing I regret buying is Bio Oil- not worth the hype.

Nails of the Day

One coat Nail Life Gripper as basecoat
Two coats of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Purple Gala on all nails except ring finger.
Two coats of L.A. Colors Color Craze BCC 571 (Why didn't they name these?! This is a great silver foil! I picked it up at The Dollar Tree for $1!) on right finger and one coat on the tip of my pinky finger.
Two coats of Nail Life Speed Demon

Purple Gala is an AMAZING color- I'd say it's one of my favorites in my collection- the picture doesn't do it justice! It's a purple base with gold foil. It looks great on toe nails too. I purchased this at Kmart for $2.79.

ELF Studio Single Eyeshadows

I recently picked up five ELF Studio Single Eyeshadows at my local Dollar Tree:
Mystic Moss, Buttercream, Coffee Bean, Amethyst, and Charcoal.
They also had Saddle and Sand Dollar, which I did not pick up.
These are all what I consider natural shades, and really are great for every day wear.

I picked up buttercream before the others and had used it a lot- that's why the packaging is dirty!
From top to bottom in above picture, and Left to Right in bottom picture:
Butter cream, Mystic Moss, Coffee Bean, Charcoal, Amethyst.

My Opinion
Buttercream- This makes a great highlight for under brow bone. It has a really nice golden shimmer and is comparable to ELF Studio Blush in Gotta Glow, except it's a little bit more golden. It is pretty sheer, but very pretty. It can also be used as a face highlighter.

Mystic Moss- This one is most likely the one I will use the least. It's nice, but it's between gray and green and I don't love it. The pigmentation is great, but I wish the color was more green.

Coffee Bean- This one is the most shimmery of them all, it actually has some glitter in it. I really like this as a crease color, it's multi dimensional and pigmented. I wore it last night with Buttercream all over the lid, and Coffee Bean in the crease.

Charcoal- Either this one or Amethyst is my favorite. This is a semi matte dark gray- it is not black. This works good for a crease shade or a lower lash line shade.

Amethyst- This one is pretty unique in comparison to the others. It isn't quite metallic, but does have a subtle sheen to it. It's very multi dimensional and a really pretty plum color.

I doubt I will repurchase any of these again, because they're $3 on www.eyeslipsface.com, and I only paid $1 for each of them. Besides, if I wanted a golden highlight, I would get Gotta Glow, because you get more product for the same price.  However, if you do not have many eyeshadows in your collection, this may be a good investment for you, because all the colors are very wearable.
Pebble is the only matte shade in the collection, and I hear that's is the perfect ashy brown color to fill in brows.

Fun Leopard Print Nails Tutorial

I decided to do a very colorful leopard print manicure yesterday and figured I'd share a How to!

I used Nail Life Gripper basecoat and Nail Life Speed Demon topcoat- but any or none will do.

Pinky Nail:
     Base- Sinful Colors Nirvana
Spots- Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Wet Cement
Ring Nail:
Base- Sinful Colors Rise and Shine
Spots- Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Mint Sorbet
See my review on Mint Sorbet here
Middle Nail:
     Base- Sinful Colors Pink Cream
Spots- Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Bubblegum Pink
Pointer Nail:
L.A. Colors Craze in BCC 563 (These are unnamed)
Spots- Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Lacey Lilac

I used an ELF Studio small precision brush to apply the spots randomly.
Then I used a small glass dish (One that I use for nail polish) to pour some Sinful Colors Secret Admirer in to See my review for Secret Admirer here. I picked up some polish with a toothpick and traced C shapes around the spots. Needless to say, my right hand was not as wonderfully spotted as my left hand, but it looked decent.

I alternated every nail in color, so in color schemes, the pattern was, starting from L to R, gray, green, pink, purple, gray, green, pink, purple, gray green.

I think the pink nail looks the best! My boyfriend said he liked the green one best. I have more and better pictures, but I need to charge my camera battery. Enjoy!

ELF Studio Cream Eyeliner in Teal Tease

I just got my ELF haul yesterday- all 41 pieces!
I've seen so many people raving about the Studio Cream Eyeliner in Teal Tease, so I knew I had to do a look with it asap-it's absolutely gorgeous!
I will have pictures of my haul and some swatches eventually, but here's my look using Teal Tease for now. :)

I had to edit the photo some to bring out the real color of the eyeliner, so it sort of threw off the rest of my face, but the eyeliner color is accurate.

Every face product I used was Elf except my primer and liquid foundation.
I used:
Studio SPF 45 UVA/UVB Protection Powder
Studio Blush in Peachy Keen and Twinkle Pink
Essentials Eyebrow/Eyelash Clear mascara on brows
Studio Brow Kit in Dark-Gel Only
Brightening Eye Quad in Ocean Dreams- 1st and 3rd color only
Essentials Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Teal
Studio Waterproof Volumizing and Lengthening Mascara in Black
Essentials Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder in Sun Kissed
Studio Single Eyeshadow in Buttercream
Essentials Clarifying Pressed Powder in Ivory
Essentials All Over Cover Stick in Light Beige
Essentials Super Glossy Lip Gloss SPF 15 in Pink Pop
I used ELF brushes too. :)

Did I mention during the 60% off sale, I only paid $1.20 for this amazing eyeliner! I unfortunately can vouch that it is tears proof like the packaging claims.

Elf Fan of the Week Submission Tutorial!

Hey everyone! I submitted a makeup look I did to ELF's Facebook Fan of The Week contest and I won this week! A few people requested a tutorial, so I figured I would do one!
I won a "grab bag" and will share with you what I got, when it arrives in the mail! It just so happens this is my blog profile picture! :)

Products used:
Revlon Colorstay Normal/Dry skin Foundation in 180 Sand Beige
Hard Candy Glamoflauge Concealer in Light
ELF Studio HD Powder with ELF Studio Complexion Brush (Limited edition glitter handle!)
ELF Essentials Brightening Eye Color Quad in Rocker with finger, Q-tip and ELF Studio angled eye liner brush (The Second and fourth color from the quad only)
ELF Studio Brow Kit in dark
ELF Essentials liquid eyeliner in black
ELF Studio Blush and Bronzer in Blushed and Bronzed
ELF Studio Blush in Gotta Glow
Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in 90 True Red

Tutorial:
First: I used Revlon Colorstay Normal/Dry skin Foundation in 180 Sand Beige all over my face, blended with my fingers.
Second: Hard Candy Glamoflauge concealer in Light on my blemishes and under eye area, blended with my fingers.
Third: I used ELF Studio HD Powder all over my fave with ELF Studio Complexion Brush. I tapped some off into the cap.
Fourth: ELF Studio Blush and Bronzer in Blushed and Bronzed- I used ELF Studio Blush Brush and applied the Bronzer to the contours of my cheeks, then the blush on the apples of my cheeks, and up to the hair line.
Fifth: ELF Studio Blush in Gotta Glow with the ELF Studio Blush Brush on the tops of my cheekbones, temples, and down the center of my nose.  I also used this with the ELF Studio Contour brush under my eyebrows and in the center of my inner eye.
Sixth: I used ELF Studio Brow kit in dark. I used the wax part with the angled brush and the powder with the dome brush included.
Seventh: I used ELF Essentials Brightening Eye Color Quad in Rocker. I used the tan color all over the lid with my finger. Then I used the black color with a Q-Tip and applied it to my outer crease, and blended it down and in a little bit.
Eighth: I used ELF Studio Angled Eyeliner brush to apply the black eyeshadow from the Rocker quad on my lower lash line all the way across.
Ninth: I used Elf Essentials Liquid Eyeliner in Black along my entire upper lashline, winging it out at the edges.
Tenth: I applied 1 coat of Loreal Telescopic Carbon Black mascara to upper and lower lashes.

Last but certainly not least: I used Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in 90 True Red. I did this entire look based on knowing I was going to use this lipstick. IT JUST GOT DISCONTINUED! So if you like this color and happen to find it- stock up! I actually found it on clearance at Kmart, marked down to $2.12! Such a shame they're discontinuing it!

Any questions, feel free to ask!
Thank you ELF so much for choosing me this week!
Love,
Emily

If you haven't tried ELF cosmetics yet, I highly recommend it.
Try an item at your local Target first if you're skeptical.
Ask away with questions, because chances are I've heard about the product if I don't already have it an use it.
Hope everyone had a safe holiday!

Fourth of July/Nautical/Pin up Manicure

Happy Fourth of July everyone!
I used 1 coat Nail Life Gripper basecoat (Purchased at Sally's for $5).
Then I used 3 coats of Mini Divas Nail Polish in Star (Purchased at The Dollar Tree for $1) as the base.
Next, I used L.A.Colors Color Craze in "12"-apparently these aren't named (Purchased at The Dollar Tree for $1) for the white diagonal stripe on the tip.
Then I used Wild and Crazy nail polish in "w370" My My My. I have no idea where this polish is from, my mom purchased it for me a few years ago. I used a toothpick to put polka dots in the white section, and to draw the anchor on my ring finger. I was unable to do the anchor on my right hand by myself. I had to recruit the boyfriend for that one!
All over the nail, I used Wet and Wild Wild Shine in Hallucinate.
I used multiple coats of Nail Life Speed Demon (Purchased at Sally's for $5) between the different colors so I didn't have to wait.
Enjoy some good food and fireworks!

Frenchie Spin

I used 1 coat Nail Life Gripper; 1 coat Sinful Colors Tokyo Pearl on full nail, and a second coat only on tips; 2 coats CQ Seashell (I think this brand got discontinued? I purchased this at Wal Mart.); 2 coats of Wet and Wild Kaleidascope (My go-to universal glitter!) on the tips only; and 2 coats Nail Life Speed Demon.
Excuse the cuticle mess! :)
